NAATE Welcomes Rosemary Baker
July 18, 2017

NAATE would like to give a big welcome to the newest member of the Partnerships Team: Rosemary Baker! Rosemary will be taking the role of Director of Partnerships, working out of the Bay Area and Los Angeles.

Rosemary joined NAATE because she has a passion for teaching, having taught for over a decade in schools on the Southside of Chicago after receiving her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern University. This passion led her to working with the Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) in Chicago. In her 7 years with AUSL, Rosemary helped expand the coaching program from a 10 person team to a 25 person team, allowing AUSL to coach across 32 high needs schools throughout Chicago. Under her leadership, coaches facilitated the preparation and on-going support of hundreds of new teachers to teach in schools at a high level and create positive climates where students thrive.

“We have been so impressed by Rosemary's passion, knowledge of schools, and ability to build relationships – her joining the team is a big step for NAATE’s presence in the Bay Area,” says Jason Griffiths, Managing Director, School Partnerships.

As a native of San Jose, Rosemary will be working closely with organizations to further deepen NAATE’s current partnerships in the area as well as establishing new relationships to help NAATE better serve even more schools, leaders, and teachers.

Rosemary is excited to jump in and hit the ground running with her new Director of Partnerships role with NAATE, “I am very excited to begin working with the NAATE team, learning from and alongside them as we expand and develop our footing within schools in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.”
