Tracy Epp serves on the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education.
Tracy works with school systems, non-profits and philanthropists to improve and expand their impact on improving every students' access to a high-quality education. She is an expert in college-ready teaching and learning, designing and leading effective school systems, and the design, delivery and scaling of programs. Her early clients include: Aspen Education, The Helmsley Charitable Trust, LEAD Public Schools and National Math and Science Initiative.
A first-generation college student herself, Tracy knows the role education plays in creating an equal opportunity for every child, regardless of race or family income. In nearly two decades in education, Tracy has seen the power of expectations. Whether in Brooklyn, NY where she served as the chief academic officer at Achievement First, or in south Texas, where she lead IDEA Public Schools' flagship high school, it's clear that children from anywhere can do anything when public schools fulfill their promise.
Tracy credits much of her success to her education at Case Western Reserve University (B.A.); University of Texas-Pan American (M.Ed); and The University of Texas at Austin (Ed.D).
