Founder & President Tony Klemmer to Speak at Edu-Documentary Panel

PROVIDENCE, RI and surrounding: The highly commended new education documentary Most Likely to Succeed will be screened at Kickemuit Middle School (Warren, RI) on January 20th at 6:30pm. Following the film will be a discussion panel featuring NAATE Founder & President Tony Klemmer. The screening is free and open to the public.

Most Likely to Succeed examines the history of education, revealing the growing shortcomings of our school model in today’s innovative world. Directed by acclaimed documentarian Greg Whiteley, the film has been named “among the best edu-documentaries ever produced” by Education Week, and called a “smart and engaging look at education in the 21st century” by The Hollywood Reporter. Film Threat stated that “this film should be a required course for all parents and educators.” Most Likely To Succeed is an official selection of many of the nation’s top film festivals, including the prestigious 2015 Sundance Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival.

This event is brought by the BWRSD in partnership with the Bristol Warren Education Foundation and the Bristol Warren Education Association.


The NAATE Program builds whole school change, starting from the grassroots level in the classroom with curriculum exclusively designed for experienced, high-performing teachers who are interested in deepening their classroom practice and their work as teacher leaders outside the classroom. A second component of the NAATE program focuses on school leaders, such as principals and deans, to facilitate comprehensive change.

The Program continues January 21-24 as NAATE Teacher Fellows come together in Wilmington, Delaware as part of Cohort VII, a group consisting of 60 top tier teachers representing a variety of schools throughout the United States.  They have been immersed in a rigorous, inquiry-based approach taught through the Case Study method.

The NAATE Program was founded in 2011 with a handful of objectives pointed toward deepening instructional practice amongst top teachers across the nation and expanding their capacity to support and lead their peers.  These objectives have proven to be effective within the first three cohorts to graduate the program.

NAATE's mission is to develop, leverage, and retain our nation's top-tier teachers for improved student and school performance through an intense, advanced program of study that balances instructional mastery and leadership.
