Over the past year, NAATE has been engaged in a study of educators in student-centered learning schools funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Carnegie Corporation of New York and New Schools Venture Fund. Our goal is to better understand the mindsets, skills and knowledge required of educators (teachers) as well as their professional learning needs in these emerging models. Ultimately, we seek to determine how NAATE and others in the field might design professional learning offerings that meet the needs of teachers in these new and still evolving school designs.
