The Product Manager will lead the product development of myNAATE (online adult learning experience) and the design of the overall teacher lifecycle through NAATE, in service of a well architected adult learning program across multiple mediums. The Product Manager will be responsible for designing a seamless integration across the in-person program and myNAATE and drive the creation and maintenance of a “Personalized Learning Support Team” (see below). The Product Manager will work closely with the Program, content, and partnerships teams to ensure product success.
● Lead and manage the implementation of myNAATE, adhering to the vision described by the NAATE leadership team ● Design, lead, and manage the implementation of the “Personalized Learning Support Team,” a team of NAATE staff / alumni tasked with personalizing the NAATE experience for Teacher Fellows on myNAATE (recommending and curating online content, moderating forums, facilitating virtual study groups, etc.) ● Develop and maintain a product brief that reflects the overarching vision for myNAATE and is useful for guiding decision making during development ● Develop product strategy based on a deep understanding of the sector and competitive landscape ● Maintain the product roadmap and priorities for future development based on sector opportunities and future customers’ needs ● Evaluate and recommend technology partners and alternatives ● Move the entire initiative from MVP to full scale over 2 – 3 year period ● Work with technical, creative, subject matter expert, and leadership teams to ensure successful implementation of the product vision ● Lead implementation of new product development processes, including creating, evaluating, analyzing, and presenting proposals for new product ideas and product enhancements ● In conjunction with lead school partnership team members, participate in client conversations as product expert ● Contribute product development and subject matter expertise to proposals ● Inform pricing of product offerings ● Ensure profitability of products to established business plan goals ● Brainstorm innovative new product concepts and enhancements
● Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred ● 5+ years of work experience, with a focus on: ● Strategic product management in an education-sector environment ● Management of technical projects ● Knowledge of or experience in the professional development market for educators preferred ● Understanding of technical and data infrastructure, and the software development lifecycle preferred ● Proven excellence building a product line ● Experience working with and bridging the gap between program, content, and client teams ● An acumen for learning ● Strong communication skills
